Back to School...sleepover

BACK TO SCHOOL SLEEPOVER!!..
THE BOYS CRASHED ON ONE SIDE OF AMANDA'S BEDROOM ~

THE GIRLS CRASHED ON THE OTHER SIDE....

....AND, THIS MOM KNEW BETTER THAN TO SNAP AMANDA'S PICTURE OF HER CRASHED OUT (sometimes I can sneak in a picture or two) BUT SHE WAS ON HER BED.

Now school is in full swing - backpacks packed, lunches getting made; teachers being met, and a sense of wonder filling little ones thoughts as preparations for back to school begin. So, Aunt Anne "style" we had a back to school sleepover the weekend before school started. We had a lot of fun together. Now mind you, we live in a 1200 sq ft townhome, so space is, shall I say, "intimate"; and in this space, we had 2 adults (Larry and me), and 8 children....Amanda, Evelyn, Lizzie, Cayden, Hunter, Jimmy, Joey, and Jeffrey! But, I love the "chaos" having multiple children in my home brings, and I am a doting aunt who absolutely adores all the little ones! We had a night of playing games, i.e. What Time is it Mr. Fox (ahem..Mrs. Fox), Red light, Green Light, and the kids' favorite - the silent game (or might that be Larry's favorite game). Then bright and early Saturday morning, the kids had me awake at 6 a.m...(beauty sleep kiddos, I {desperately} need my beauty sleep. But, kids will be kids, and their body alarm clocks go off essentially the same time every morning, no matter how late they were up the night before (they went to bed at roughly 9:30ish - thanks to my VCR eating 2 of my tapes..argh). So, Saturday we served breakfast, and then had some playtime outdoors.

Memories I will forever cherish were made that weekend filled with hugs and kisses, giggles and yes even the bickering. I love these little children!
