Happy {Belated} Mother's Day to all the mothers I know. Today, was a special day in that I got to spend time with 2 of my sisters, my mom, and my dad. We went out to lunch at Applebee's, and just had a nice time together (despite my feeling sick, which I had felt since Satuday night, that in turn kept me home from church).
So without further adieu, I would like to just take a moment to honor some moms that are part of my life:
Mom - Thank you for all that you have done for me over the years. Thank you for nurturing me, and caring for me in the good times and bad. The gifts you provide to our family can never be replaced. Thank you for being so loving toward all your grandchildren; they are truly blessed. A mom's job is NEVER done, and as you continue on this journey called "mom" may God continue to bless your life with treasures along the way.
Lois - You are also Mom to me. Thank you for the gift of your son to me. He is such a precious person, and I honor you in the job well done in raising him for all those years, praying fervently for him to "find the one", loving him through all his health issues, and ultimately lighting the unity candle {tapers} to allow him to join in marriage with me. Thank you for welcoming me with open arms into the family 3 years ago.
Grandma - Thank you for raising my daddy to be the man he is. Your love and nurture of him is what made him who he is today. Thank you for loving your grandchildren, each and evey one, and ultimately for loving your great-grandchildren.
Grandma - Though living far away, my heart still loves you deeply. Thank you for all the love and support you have given me, especially when Larry came along :). Thank you for the phone calls, and encouraging words.
Sara - My oldest sister - even though it was turmoil living in the same room with you, life changed and here we are today....
Becky - My middle sister - Thank you for being my "baby b". I love you so much and am so blessed to have the honor to call you sister.
Martha - My youngest sister - Thank you for letting me love on your kiddies, and for just being you.
Bree - My sister-in-law - Even though you live in Oregon, you're still sister to me. Thank you for all your encouraging words to me.
Lynette - My sister-in-law - Though in Texas, I am SO thankful that God put you in my life. Who would have known your brother would have gotten married?!
And, to all the friends and relatives who are moms....thank you for being a part of my life; for inspiring me, loving me, caring for me.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL OF YOU!!!
