Clouds cover the sky this morning and rain is in the forecast, but beautiful sunrises such as this warm my heart. Our life is not perfect by any means; no, it is clouded by insurmountable levels of rain - storms in our life that makes you ask the question "why me". But, I have found that I can rest in the warmth of Jesus's loving embrace especially during the difficult times. And, despite the trials we face here on earth, His mercies are new every morning, new with the beautiful sunrises He paints in the sky for us. As I venture into this new year, new decade, Lord open my eyes to see Your majesty. Allow me to continue to praise You even when times get tough. I rest in Your arms hearing You say You love me. Allow me to praise You in the good times, the amazing times, and yes, Lord, even those troubling times. Draw me closer to You so I can hear Your gentle whisper.
Thank you for painting the sky each morning with a beautiful sunrise - just another example of Your majesty! And, even on days such as today when the sky is cloudy, the sun is just waiting to appear to show all its beauty!
