K-love radio is our most favorite station to list to. It's so refreshing to know that I do not have to worry about the lyrics in the songs being "questionable" when I have the radio on in the car or home and with the children around.
As a New Year thank you gift, K-Love had a free concert tour for its listeners. Yay! And let me tell ya, every time Amanda heard the commercial for it she didn't hesitate to remind me that she REALLY wanted to go. Well, the concert we could attend was on Thurs, January 14, 2010, but I kept telling Amanda it was at a church too far out in Phoenix to drive to. She was totally bummed. So, this mom decided to Mapquest the church, and what do you know, it was only like 13ish minutes away from us!! Now it was time to REALLY play it up and keep telling Amanda we couldn't go (all the while in the back of my head I had the really cool idea to surprise her).
Thursday morning, Amanda and I heard the commercial for the umpteenth time, and for the umpteenth time she saw fit to (gently) remind me that she really wanted to go. I held out and didn't tell her until we pulled into the church parking lot. And what do you think her reaction was?? "Mom, ARE YOU SERIOUS!?"
We saw Brian Weaver (a new contemporary Christian artist), Chris and Conrad (one of Amanda's FAVORITES), and Jonny Diaz (make sure to pronounce it DIEaz...not DEEaz! lol). What an amazing, amazing concert. So refreshing and such an awesome time of worship! I am really glad I chose to take Amanda! (and she got to meet the guys, too!)

Thank you, K-Love radio for offering for free this wonderful concert! Amanda and I came out of there truly feeling blessed and refreshed!
