Cake anyone?

I am really enjoying making cakes for the family. To me, there is just something peaceful amongst the pressure when it comes to cake making! Not quite sure how to describe the feeling. One thing I do know for certain, when the finished project is presented it makes me so happy to see the recipient smile!

So, thus far my creations have been mainly character cakes for nieces/nephews; although I did do a sheet cake for my niece with Jonas Brothers on the top. Well, I decided to surprise a couple of friends and make them a graduation cake. Fun, fun!

With no pattern, image to go by other than just on-demand creativity, I created my first graduation cake. Congrats again, Debi and Mallory!!!

CAKES.....IT'S WHAT I DO!

CAKE, OH YUMMY CAKE. YOUR MOIST CENTER MAKES MY TASTEBUDS WATER, MAKES ME WANT TO GOBBLE YOU ALL UP; BUT THEN REALITY HITS. CAN'T EAT TOO MUCH, BUT I CAN CREATE CAKE FOR OTHERS.

OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS, I HAVE BEEN MAKING THE FAMILY BIRTHDAY CAKES. BELOW ARE PICTURES OF SOME OF THEM I HVAE MADE. I HAVE DONE ARIEL FROM LITTLE MERMAID, BUT CANNOT SEEM TO FIND THAT ONE. MY NEXT CAKE TO DO IS A #8 AND CUPCAKES, PERHAPS ---MY NIECE, EVELYN, IS TURNING 8.

I REALLY ENJOY BAKING CAKES AND CREATING THE CHARACTERS THE KIDS REQUEST. LOOKING FORWARD TO MAKING MANY MORE CAKES TO COME!
