Wilton Cake Decorating Class

For my birthday, my parents enabled me to take the first class in Wilton Cake Decorating. I have found that I really enjoy making cakes for all my nieces and nephews, and wanted to learn more about making the "fancy stuff". So, last week, I started my first cake decorating class, and it has been really fun, and learning a few tricks of the trade. I found out that our "final" project is going to be making a character cake. I was a little bit bummed since I have been teaching myself how to make these cakes for a while now, but that's the class for ya! I have two more classes to attend (it's a 4-day class), and I am looking forward to learning how to make roses the Wilton way! whoo hoo.

The second cake we made. We made the little clowns out of frosting, and learned how to make frosting multi-colored!
