So, this past Wednesday, I attended my third out of four Wilton cake classes, and we learned how to make the Wilton roses. It took some major practicing - I mean MAJOR practicing - in class. And, finally, the instructor gave me the okay to decorate my cake with flowers. Whoo hoo! Hmm, wonder what color I chose...if you know me, you know my FAVORITE color is purple. Love the color purple - my office is purple, but that's as far as Larry would let it go..no purple house for me (lol..always dreamed of having a purple house as a kid). So, with my yummy frosting in hand, colored a dark shade of purple, I ended up with my cake looking like this (and yep, I made all the roses, except the very center one)..
I'm learning, and enjoying it!
