Rewind...to 1999! One of the most difficult years of my life; yet so redefining of my life, too. I became a single mom to my sweet little 2-year-old girl! I was quite down, but I knew I had to make a change in my life. Oh yeah, and I swore of EVER, I mean EVER ever getting married again! No way, no how. Nope, not in this lifetime. It was going to be just me and my girl!

Fast Forward...to 2005! Didn't I say I would NEVER get married again? Ahem, God then why are you hitting me over the head and saying look right there, he's the one created for you! Well, pardon me if I sound a little skeptical, but I had no intention on meeting anyone. And, can you guess what I did? I leaned over to my youngest sister and said, "I have to meet that guy"..oh yes, the same guy God said "right there child of mine".

Double fast forward....to January 5, 2006. Hello, anyone listening? Didn't I swear off marriage? Then please do tell...what is this sparkly thing being put on my finger, and why is my sweet Amanda being asked for permission to....oh my goodness, get engaged! I think God is giving me a second chance, at love!

(Now) Fast forward (like the fastest on your DVR)...March 25, 2006. Can't be really happening. The Worship Center is decked out in candles, and more candles; and, a lot of little kids are running around all decked out in cute attire! And, who is that girl right there? Amanda? my sweet Amanda. Oh my goodness, it's here. I am getting married to the man formed for me, created to be my partner, my best friend. I am marrying the man God whom told to "wait for His direction"; and obedience paid off. The church doors close and Amanda is on my arm, ready to walk her mom down the aisle and what do you think she says to me? "Mom, come on don't cry"...open the floodgates now. Eight months in the making..a marriage; but in retrospect, a lifetime in creating...God knew what he was doing that's for sure. For today, March 25, 2010, I celebrate 4 years marriage to my most wonderful husband, Larry ~ my sweet sweet!

.......but, ahem, didn't I say I swore off marriage?

HAPPY 4TH ANNIVERSARY, LARRY

I LOVE YOU MY SWEET, SWEET. YOU ARE SUCH A TREASURE TO ME, AND TO AMANDA. GOD MAKES NO MISTAKES, AND EVEN WHEN I HAD SWORN OFF MARRIAGE AND WHILE YOU WERE PRAYING FOR A WIFE, GOD ALREADY KNEW, HE KNEW, WE WERE MEANT TO BE TOGETHER.
WITH ALL MY LOVE,

ME

*one man, one woman,
a young girl, and God...Marriage
made in heaven!
