I look up and there is my girl looking still as pretty as can be but different! Don't get me wrong, I was very pleased with how her hair turned out, but it's just amazing how just a little snip here and a little snip there can change an appearance. But in reality, I think it is just that my little girl is growing up, and it's such a blessing to watch her transform into the young lady God is growing her to be.
My Mini-Me is growing up, and is more
beautiful every day!

I love you, Amanda. It is a blessing to be your mom!
Well, fast forward to today, and CHANGE is REALLY good!! For those who know Amanda's medical history and have been praying for her over the years, thank you! We went to the endocrinologist this morning for routine six-month check-up.
Labs look great --- check
Height is on the curve ----check 5'1 1/2"
Weight is stable and fine ----check 83 lbs
Follow-up appt scheduled ----NOT NECESSARY!!
I have so longed for the day when I would hear a doctor say to us Amanda is discharged from my practice unless something were to come up in the future!! Praise God! Amanda does NOT have to repeat her lab work, which is routine for growth hormone deficiency, and she is growing like a child her age should! I was all smiles in that exam room as was Amanda! The pituitary gland is quite a mind-boggling piece of our body's equipment, but God knew what He was doing when He created it! Just puzzles the doctors!
So, as of today, one doctor is (finally) checked off our list, and growth hormone injections are a thing of the past!
As we were leaving the doctor's office, Amanda said,"Mom, I can come back and visit him, though, right?" Aww! She has the most awesome doctors who leave such an impression on her that she wants to just stop in for a visit! Precious!
