Tonight, my niece and nephew had "store" at Awana. They were so excited that it was store night. It's amazing how just a little something can put a smile on a child's face. Well, tonight, Lizzie not only had a smile on her face, but put a smile on my heart.
She showed me the rattle bear and 3-pack of little playdoh she purchased with her Awana bucks. Without hesitation, she told me the bear was for Alannah (baby sister), and the playdoh was for Hunter's (brother) birthday at the end of October. I told her that is wonderful and how nice of her to think of them. I asked if she purchased anything else for herself, and with a smile she told me no, only for Hunter and Alannah.
Now, that brings a smile to my heart to see her behaving in such a Christ-like way! Lizzie, God had a smile on his fact tonight for the selfless act you did. I love you Lizzie the Lizard
